This was a great day to play, the temperature was in the 60's but the field was dry. We had a new referee and he made sure the matches started and ended on time. Many players and coaches were very happy that the referee followed the time schedule.

The lights have been fixed but also, all of the burnt out bulbs were replace so that the west side of the field is well lite for the first time. Other field lines ran across out field which made it difficult to determine the out line ofour field but that should end by November. Not only was the weather great, but we had a total of 15 goals. It has been a long time since we have scored so many goals.

Final rosters are due this coming week along with any past due fees!

Remember, Be the first to score and you have a 73% chance of winning it!

The Hideaway Comes Out Strong

Both sides were ready but The Hideaway came out strong and were attacking very well against Maidstone. At times it looked like The Hideaway could score when they had some good shots on Corey DeRosa of Maidstone. As it was looking as if The Hideaway would score first, Maidstone did score first. Gehider Garcia had the ball inside the box and passed it off to Luis Correa of Maidstone. Correa standing near the far post fired the ball into the net to give his team the lead.

Less then a minute later, Gehider Garcia had the ball at the top of the goalie box and fired a blast past Alfredo Negrete to give his team a two goal lead.

Maidstone in Total Control

Things were not going well for The Hideaway. A direct kick is given to Maidstone that Andy Gonzales takes without waiting for The Hideaway wall. Gonzales fires the ball to Jefferson Ramirez, who standing right in front of the goal fires a point blank shot into the net.

Things could not get better for The Hideaway. A penalty kick is given to Maidstone that Diego Marles takes to score to given his team a four goal lead.

To put the icing on the cake, less then a minute later, Correa passed the ball to Mario Olaya, who scored the fifth goal of the night. A great win for Maidstone.
