Playoff Status table
TeamStatus
Bateman In the playoffs, should finish in 2nd or 3rd
Bayberry Will finish in 6th place
Maidstone In the playoffs, will finish in 1st place six times in a row
Race Lane They need to win the last game. If they win, they just hope Tortorella ties or defeats Tuxpan and they will end up in 4th place, any other result, Tuxpan will finish in 4th place
Tortorella In the playoffs, should finish in 2nd or 3rd
Tuxpan As long as Race Lane does not win, they end up in 4th place. If Race Lane wins, they will need to win their match against Tortorella. If Tuxpan ties in points with Race Lane, they will go home due to better goals for/goals against record for Race Lane

This could be another great finish for the season. If Race Lane wins the first match, we are sure some of the players will be hanging around to watch the Tortorella vs. Tuxpan match which will be the last match of the regular season.

This week the lights stayed on but the last match was a forfeit. Just hope they will work correctly for the rest of the season.

Gehider Garcia of Maidstone scored three goals,11 goals total, to be just one goal behind Tony Shoshi, 12 goals total, in the golden boot competition. Tony missed a chance to score more due to the fact that Bayberry had forfeited it's match. Tony had the potential to score but now Miadstone will face Bayberry so Gehider could score a bucket load as long as Bayberry also does not forfeit that match!

This next table lists all players who have played less than 3 games. You need to play at least 3 games to be able to play in the playoffs!

Games played so far, need three for playoffs

Maidstone easy time with Tuxpan

Tuxpan needed to win and come out strong and was able to give up two goals during the half. Tuxpan had an attack but it would break down near the Maidstone goalie box. Maidstone first goal of the night happened with John Romero had the ball and passed it to his side to Gehider Garcia, who just happen to be standing next to a Tuxpan defender. Once Gehider had the ball, he fired it from about 8 yards into the far goal post corner.

Maidstone second goal was scored within a minute of the first. This time Diego Marles had the ball and fired it to Gehider Garcia who was standing near the goal line and about 7 yards out. Garcia fired the ball into the night from a difficult angle. Maidstone could have scored again when Marles from about 30 yards passed the ball to Gehider Garcia, who was standing next to the Tuxpan goal post. Garcia could not control the ball and watched the ball roll just wide of the goal post.

Maidstone keeps on scoring

During the second half of play, Maidstone still controlled the match but Tuxpan did not have a chance. Maidstone was able to score again when Marles had the ball about 7 yards from the goal and passed it to Winson Elegolda. Elegolda fired a low grounder into the net.

Maidstone was attacking well and Gehider Garcia scored his third goal of the night when he passed the ball to Andy Gonzales who was about 3 yards from the goal post. Gonzales quickly passes the ball back to Gehider who from about 2 yards out scores.

Gehider Garcia is able to dribble the ball into the Tuxpan goalie box and next to the near goal post. Garcia quickly passes the ball to Romero, who back heels the ball from about 2 yards into the near post net. A great win for Maidstone.

Fairly Even Match

From the start, both sides wanted to win but Bateman had a small advantage since their passing game on the Tortorella side was better than the passing game that Tortorella was playing. Tortorella would move the ball past mid-field but than the pass would get lost or be poorly made. Bateman at one post almost had an own goal. Mark Hogg had the ball and passed it back to his goalie, Luis Berneo who ran by the ball and was unable to get it. The ball went just inches wide of the near post.

Bateman was able to score inside the Tortorella goalie box when the ball was passed to Daniel Salazar, who was alone and about 6 yards out. Salazar unmarked hit the ball to David Cardona, also standing unmarked next to the Tortorella goal post deflected the ball into the net to give Bateman the lead.

Tortorella on the attack

During the second half of play, it was all Tortorella Pools but the ball could not find its was into the net. Tortorella was able to score when Luis Vas had the ball inside the Bateman goalie box and fired it into the net to tie the match.

Tortorella kept on attacking and when given another direct kick almost scored again. Rudolfo Marin took the kick and fired the ball to Gary Easlick who headed the ball just inches over the cross bar. Bateman at one point came back when Carlos Torres had the ball on an open net. Torres fired the ball into the legs of the on coming Dario Garcia of Tortorella. With this draw, both teams still remain in the same standings.

Bayberry another forfeit

This was an easy win for Race Lane with Bayberry forfeiting the third time this year. Only Tony Shoshi suffered since he was prevented with scoring goals.
