Play was Hard

Both sides were playing hard but Maidstone was the better team with a better attack and passing. Maidstone was able to score first when Luis Correa had the ball inside The Hideaway goalie box. Olger Araya, The Hideaway keeper, comes out to block the shot but Correa hits a grounder that rolls between the legs of Araya into the net.

Maidstone scored on another fast break. This time John Romero had the ball inside The Hideaway goalie box. Romero sees that Correa is alone and open on the far side. Romero fires the ball to Correa who heads the ball from about 8 yards out into the open net for his second goal of the night.

The Hideaway tried to attack but just could not get any on goal shots off. The Maidstone defenders were just too strong for The Hideaway. So on one attack, The Hideaway was able to score. This time Cesar Correa of The Hideaway had the ball next to the Maidstone end line. Correa fired the ball across the goal mouth to the far side were Cristian Rojo was standing. The ball deflects off Rojo's hand and chest to hit the net.

Diego Marles Makes a Beautiful Direck Kick

Maidstone could have scored again when Gerber Garcia shot a grounder from about 30 yards. As the ball was rolling, Araya moved his arms to grab it but instead it went between his legs and just wide of the far post. A little east and it would have been a goal. Maidstone did score when a direct kick was given from about 25 yards and Diego Marles would take it. Marles kicked the ball to the far side and as it curved down, Araya dived but missed it as it entered the net just under the right side of the cross bar. A great shot by Marles.

Maidstone kept on attacking which paid off. Luis Correa passed the ball to the far side where Mario Olaya was standing unmarked. Olaya from about 2 yards fired the ball into the open net to give his team the victory.
