This was a match that if Tuxpan won, they would move into 4th place. Tuxpan got on the board first when Jonathan Lizano standing near the goal fired the ball into the net. It did not take Bateman long to tie up the match when David Cardona scored a rebound that was floating inside the goalie box. Both sides were attacking but no one was able to score again.
During the second half of play, the match picked up speed and Bateman took the lead when Cardona had the ball inside the box and passed it off to Christian Montes who was standing alone. Montes fired the ball past Antonio Chavez into the net.
Later on, Danial Salazar received the ball and was able to dribble past a Tuxpan defender and blasted the ball past the oncoming Chavez into the net. Tuxpan was able to score when Uchupie Esteben blasted the ball from inside the goalie box into the net. Bateman goalie, Luis Bermeo, received a yellow card for not wearing shin guards but during this time Tuxpan was unable to score.
Toward the end of the match, Carlos Cardenas would take a direct kick from just outside the goalie box. Cardenas blasted the ball just over the heads of the wall into the net to give Bateman a convincing win.
